TEXBRIDGE, Textile & Accessories Fair which is a worldwide renowned exhibition for textile industry in Europe and the Middle East, will be held on October 13 - 15, 2011 at CNR EXPO Center, Istanbul, TURKEY.
Organized by Istanbul Trade Fairs Inc., CNR Holding with the support of ITKIB - Istanbul Textile and Raw Material Exporters’ Association, TEXBRIDGE brings over 250 selected exhibitors together with more than 10.000 buyers from the Middle East, Balkans, Europe, Russia, C.I.S. and Africa.
Turkey, the 8th biggest textile exporter, will showcase its variety in basic raw materials at TEXBRIDGE this year. The wide range of product groups created by local and international exhibitors will offer professional visitors the opportunity to make new business contacts.
TREND AREA AND SEMINARS
TEXBRIDGE will set the latest trends from fabrics and accessories to ready-to-wear industry. Trend Area at the fair will provide a glimpse of the season’s highlights. With the contribution of exhibitors, Trend Area will inspire the ready-to-wear professionals with the most original products. During the fair, seminars will be held with the participation of trendsetters in fashion industry.
NEW HALLS AT CNR EXPO CENTER
TEXBRIDGE, Textile & Accessories Fair, takes place in the largest fairground of the country; CNR EXPO Center. The fair will be held in Halls 12-13; the newest halls constructed with the latest technology on an area of 20.000 m2. Located just across Ataturk International Airport, the fairground provides easy transportation and numerous accommodation options. And, daily access with only 3-hour flight from most of the neighbouring countries facilitates doing business in Turkey. Business meetings taking place in an elegant atmosphere position the fair as the industry's networking platform in Eurasia region.
TURKISH TEXTILE MARKET
- Turkey is the world’s 4th biggest ready-to-wear manufacturer and 8th biggest textile exporter.
- Turkey is 7th largest producer of lint cotton in the world and one of the biggest raw cotton producers at 475 thousand tons annually
- Textile import in Turkey was $ 9.1 billion in 2010, including cotton, gray cloth, cotton yarn, fabrics, synthetic fibers and yarns.
- Most of textile imports to Turkey originate from Italy, the USA, Germany, Greece, France, India, South Korea, Pakistan, Indonesia and China.
- While the export value of the Turkish textile industry is $ 6.4 billion, Turkey exports 46,4% of textile products to EU countries including Italy, Germany, France, Poland, Bulgaria, UK. The second important country groups is former Russia and CIS countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan with the share of 17%.
