Autumn 2011 Fairs welcome thousands of buyers
Over 10,000 local and international buyers visited the autumn 2011 edition of the China Sourcing Fairs: Garments & Textiles, Underwear & Swimwear, Fashion Accessories and the India Sourcing Fair: Garments & Accessories.
Big-name buyers included, Benetton, Bossini, Christian Dior, Coles Group Asia, El Corte Ingles, Esprit, H&M, Hermes-Otto International, KMart Australia, Lacoste, Levi's Strauss, Li & Fung, Marks and Spencer, Mattel (HK), Myer Sourcing Asia, Next Sourcing Ltd., Nike, Nissen, Quicksilver Asia, Tesco International, Timex Group, Woolworths (HK), Zara and many others.
Considered among Asia’s premier fashion sourcing events, the Fairs provide buyers new and upcoming trends in the industry. “Many of the items you see here today are what you will be seeing on store shelves around the world in the months ahead," said Global Sources Exhibitions President Tommy Wong.
First-time visitor Dean Glosup from the US had a productive visit to the Fairs in October 2011. “We deal with jewelry retailers in the US and we have relationships with factories in China. This Fair is very nice, the layout, very tasteful, and it is open – I like that. We have already found qualified suppliers and will place orders with them. Compared with other shows, Global Sources constantly sends out email which is very good because I get information all the time. It helps stimulate ideas about different products,” he noted.
